POTA Activation — Baldy Mountain

Join the WVARC POTA group for its September activation at Baldy Mountain BLM Special Recreation Management Area (POTA US-13339) in the Peoria/Lake Pleasant area.

RSVP Required to Attend

This is a private POTA group event. You must RSVP in HamClubOnline (HCOL) to attend. The RSVP is also required so the club can plan the food count.

To view the private event, receive POTA group emails, and RSVP:

1. Sign in to HamClubOnline (HCOL).
2. Edit your member profile.
3. Add the POTA skill to your profile.
4. Open the event and click the blue RSVP button below the calendar listing.

Event Information

• No personal stations: Please do not bring your own radio station setup. Extra gear will create too much local QRM (interference).
• Logging: Participants do not need to log their own contacts during the event.
• Talk-in frequency: Use simplex 146.54 MHz for coordination as you approach the site.
• Technician privileges: Technician-class licensees may use the club callsign NY7S to participate and transmit on the HF bands during the activation.
• Food and drinks: The club will provide hot dogs and chips for a late lunch or early dinner. Drinks will also be provided.
