Sep 26: Baldy Mountain POTA Activation
Join the WVARC POTA group at Baldy Mountain BLM Special Recreation Management Area (POTA US-13339) on Saturday, September 26, from 3:00–5:00 PM. RSVP through HamClubOnline is required to attend and helps the club plan food. Technician-class operators may participate on HF using the NY7S club callsign.
Sept. 26: WVARC Monthly Business Meeting
Join us Saturday, September 26 at approximately 10:00 AM Arizona time, immediately following the Morning Net, for the WVARC Monthly Business Meeting on the NY7S Del Webb repeater. We’ll recap the previous Board meeting, discuss club business and upcoming events, and hear from club members.
Oct 10: EmComm Exercise — RSVP by Oct 1
Join WVARC for an EmComm relay station exercise on Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 AM–noon MST. NCO coordination will use the Del Webb Repeater, with a controlled simplex net on 147.580 MHz (no PL tone). Please RSVP by October 1 so Mike Peters (K1MHP) can organize the net and prepare the loggers. The exercise may finish earlier.
Oct 3: WVARC 65th Anniversary Celebration
Celebrate 65 years of amateur radio, community, and fellowship with WVARC on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at Beardsley Park, Ramada #7, in Sun City West.
Oct 5: WVARC Monthly Member Meeting
The October WVARC Monthly Member Meeting is Monday, October 5. The in-person social hour begins at 6:00 PM, the Zoom social hour at 6:30 PM, and the meeting at 7:00 PM. Attend at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church in Walton Hall or join online via Zoom.
