About Us

In September of 1987, 100 hams got together and formed what is currently the West Valley Amateur Radio Club, but if you go clear back to the beginning in 1961, there were 7 hams from the Youngtown and Sun City areas getting together on each other's patios.

We now have over 300 club members from as far away as Yuma, Casa Grande and New River.  Also snowbirds who live in Oregon!
