About Us

A Little History

In September of 1987, 100 hams got together and formed what is currently the West Valley Amateur Radio Club, but if you go clear back to the beginning in 1961, there were 7 hams from the Youngtown and Sun City areas getting together on each other's patios.

We Have Grown!

We now have club members from as far away as Yuma, Casa Grande and New River.  Close to 300 is our current total!

Digital Radio Brings In New Members!

Digital Radio will keep you connected to family and friends when all other sources of communication fail.
