Yaesu Digital Net-TWO Nights a Week:
Tuesday & Thursday Evening at 7:00 PM on 449.800 MHz.
We also have the EARLY BIRD net at 7 AM every Wednesday morning.
Our WIRES-X room number is 81854.
Here are a few Guidelines.
More about WIRES-X from YAESU.
Check out our Digital page HERE.

Participating in a conversation on our repeaters should be treated similar to a conversation in open mixed company in a social setting.
Conversations should be kept courteous and all participants should be treated with dignity and respect. Monopolizing the repeater or engaging in controversial subjects such as religion, sex, or politics should generally be avoided.
Test ‘kerchunking’ the repeater (pushing & releasing the push-to-talk button) is considered a poor operating practice and should be avoided.
We also ask that you let the repeater drop completely, to allow emergency traffic to break in.
Conversations on our repeaters are a direct reflection of our club. Please make our repeaters enjoyable for all to use.
Interference and Jamming of our Club’s Repeaters
It is the West Valley ARC position that when a QSO or net experiences unwelcome
interference over our repeater, you should either tolerate it or sign off.
The intruder will soon violate the FCC 10-minute rule by not ID-ing and possible
intentional jamming of a licensed station(s) along with other illegal acts.
The Tech Committee will be working behind the scenes to document the interference and hand it over to the FCC for disciplinary action.
If it is of a racial, sexual, profane, vulgar or other illegal act; legally ID and turn off
your radio. Never engage a jammer.
Inform the Tech Committee at:
n7yo@westvalleyarc.com in writing of the particulars such as date & time the event
occurred along with what happened to document the violation.
Jim, N7YO
Technical Committee Chairperson

We’ve noticed some of you are using older preambles but for the sake of brevity, Josh and I would like to encourage you to use this shorter version. Everyone knows it's best to call 911 if they can, there’s no need to tell them and no one has ever waited for the net to declare an emergency.
We believe Echo-Link and All Star are reliable enough to be treated as regular check-ins. Also, any Novice knows he/she can’t use two meters (last license was issued more than 15 years ago).
Reader Digest Version
This is (NAME/CALL). Welcome to the West Valley Amateur Radio Club’s (morning/evening) call-in net. This is an open-directed net and all traffic should go through the net controller. All licensed amateurs are welcome, you need not be a club member to join in the fun.
Our repeater is in Sun City West, AZ, has an output Frequency of 147.300 MHz, with a standard positive 600 KHz offset and a 162.2 Hz tone.
If anyone should have an emergency during the net and is unable to call 911 - transmit a double break and we will assist you as needed (we have an excellent track record).
Information about our club, including the 14 weekly nets, may be found on our website: West Valley arc. com.
If you are an outbound mobile or short timer, let me know and you will be placed at the top of my list.
Announce your topic/trivia if applicable then ask for check-ins.
Feel free to personalize your preamble.
Ray, W0IVB-Feb. 17, 2025
