EmComm Committee Chair Needed!
WVARC needs someone to chair its EmComm Committee. It doesn't require a lot of experience or time. The club is not looking for coordination with other county entities, but would rather encourage preparation and communication amongst our club members desiring to know how to respond to local emergencies. We would love to see an EmComm exercise once every month or two, to sharpen our communications skills. We are looking for fun and educational exercises. Does this sound like you?

Net Controllers Needed!
Volunteering to Host a Net is the easiest way:
- to find out if you like being a Net Control.
- to better your skills as a Net Control before tackling a more stressful situation.
- to provide a variety of styles and subjects to our nets.
- to participate and build confidence in ham radio communication!
No need to be a club member, but you do need to be a licensed Amateur Radio Operator. Who knows, after a time or two, you may find that you really like being a Net Control and become one of our regulars.
